KEY ISSUES

PROPER ROLE OF GOVERNMENT
“The purpose of the law is to cause justice to reign” is not a rigorously accurate statement. It ought to be stated that the purpose of the law is to prevent injustice from reigning. In fact, it is injustice, instead of justice, that has an existence of its own. Justice is achieved only when injustice is absent.
—Frédéric Bastiat
There is one simple test: Do I, as an individual, have a right to use force upon my neighbor to accomplish this goal? If I do have such a right, then I may delegate that power to my government to exercise on my behalf. If I do not have that right as an individual, then I cannot delegate it to government, and I cannot ask my government to perform the act for me.
—Ezra Taft Benson

HOUSING COSTS
The federal government controls more than 64% of our state. On top of that, the state has made another 5.4 million acres off-limits to our families and our children’s future.
When government restricts the supply of land, housing becomes unaffordable. It’s that simple.
We need to go back to what works. We need to unleash the power of the free market and get government out of the way. That is what will make the American dream of owning a home in reach again for every Utah family.
I believe the way to make housing more affordable would be to eliminate requirements for soil engineers for buildings under 10,000 sq. ft.; eliminate HVAC engineering for Manual J, D, and S; require cities to approve plans within 30 days; and require cities to allow additional dwelling units on properties with no minimum or maximum square footage or percentage of roof in relation to lot size.
I believe it is immoral to have the state provide any housing, lots, or land for low-income or any other class of people. I don’t believe in any public/private partnerships (see elimination of continuing education classes to reduce housing costs). Get rid of the energy code.

HONEST ELECTIONS
I would move the state law, which requires mail-in ballots to be requested, from December 31, 2028, to January 1, 2026; require electronic voting machines be eliminated; and require ballots be hand-counted within 24 hours of poll closing.
I would work to get rid of SB54 and eliminate the initiative process of getting anybody on the ballot. This eliminates the representative election process and allows candidates to buy elections.
I believe Governor Cox should be removed from office, as he did not have 28,000 valid signatures as required by law, and that Utah have a re-election.

EDUCATION
I believe that no grants or curriculum should come from the Department of Education, the UN, or any NGO. I believe that teachers and school administrations should be able to remove troubled children from school.
For example, if a 13-year-old kicks a teacher and there is a witness or video, that child should be mandatorily removed from school for 90 days. Similar removal should occur for verbal abuse or frequent class disruption.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
I would work to remove illegal driver privilege cards. I would work to not allow children of illegal immigrants to attend public schools. I agree with Rep. Trevor Lee's proposed bill HB287 to remove Utah privilege drivers license program. I also support HB88 to stop illegal immigrants from accessing state or local publicly funded assistance programs.

INTERNATIONAL ENTANGLEMENTS
I believe that Utah should not allow any NGO, the UN, etc., to influence our policy, and we should not accept money from them.

The right to own and bear arms shall not be infringed! I believe that Utah should encourage gun carry and that school teachers and administrators should be required to carry a gun.

ELIMINATION OF CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES FOR ALL CONSTRUCTION-RELATED TRADES AND PROFESSIONALS
I believe that in Genesis, when God said that “six days thou shalt labor,” that was an absolute and not subject to government control. I believe it is theft for government to require contractors and engineers, etc., to be forced into government education camps to be indoctrinated to work to support their families.
There are about 16,000 building contractors. This is forcibly taking about $5 million away from families in lost wages, plus about $2.5 million for class fees.
I believe that engineers and real estate agents should not be required to attend continuing education classes. Idaho recently eliminated continuing education classes.

We need to rescind Utah’s call for a constitutional convention. It would allow a handful of lawmakers/lobbyists to replace our Constitution of the United States. The first constitutional convention came out with very different results than first intended, and it could easily happen again.
Our morality as a nation is not as good as it was in 1787. The Constitution is not broken and does not need repair. No reason is valid to jeopardize our limited constitutional republic and possibly destroy our Bill of Rights.
UTAH’S CALL FOR ARTICLE V CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION

Utah needs to make it possible to have driver’s licenses available without Real ID. Real ID comes from the federal government, and Utah should resist this, as it is dangerous.
Within the Real ID chip, lots of personal info can be stored: medical records and your social credit score. This allows government to deny you rights if you are a “rebel” (see plank 4 of the Communist Manifesto).
